Environmental Audit Service – Nearly 30 years of regulatory compliance and defense experience has equipped James Dufour, J.D., R.E.A., C.I.H. with the know-how to expeditiously assess your plant’s compliance status through a cost-effective compliance audit and inspection.  This comprehensive review by the recognized expert that includes hazardous materials, air, water, and waste regulations, usually costs between $5,000 to $10,000 (depending on the complexity of the plant and its location), and can be tailored to include Cal/OSHA compliance.

Environmental Management Team – Dufour Safety Environmental & Regulatory Law has developed a unique and effective environmental management system in cooperation with clients that meets the challenge of needing highly-competent regulatory advice and counsel for applicable environmental programs and Cal/OSHA while avoiding the expense of qualified, but often limited-experience/expertise of environmental professionals.  These projects, called a “Company Environmental Management Team,” or EMT, utilize non-environmental staff at the company’s California operating locations, which are the EMT members.  The process begins with a facility audit/inspection and the EMT members correct deficiencies with Dufour Safety Environmental & Regulatory Law guidance, and report progress to the EMT Committee during a pre-scheduled monthly conference call.  Experience to-date has resulted in avoidance of hazardous waste, universal waste, oil spill prevention, stormwater, and hazardous materials business plan violations; more cost-effective and practical waste management saving tens of thousand of dollars per year at each plant; outstanding CUPA inspection results; and reduced injury/illness incident rate.  This service is charged on a monthly basis of between $2,000 to $3,000 for the entire company, with initial plant start-up costs of $2,000 to $4,000 (which includes an audit).  In addition to routine EMT support, the service includes telephone and written communication as needed, at no additional charge.
