Hazardous Materials Compliance And
Train-the-Trainer Webinar

Dufour Seminars and Training has trained thousands of businesses and other facility representatives on their hazardous materials regulatory and training obligations over the last two decades...AND, since 2004, certifying participants to be effective hazardous materials trainers.

This program is now available in a convenient and cost-effective webinar format in September and October 2010!

About the Program

This training solves the problem of overlapping CUPA, Cal/EPA, Cal/OSHA and DOT training obligations, and addresses the newest regulatory challenge for California facilities: CUPA enforcement of federal and state oil spill prevention rules and training requirements.

Designed to save you time, effort, and expense, and to equip you with information to provide expert, quality training to other employees - training regulators are demanding!

Train-the-Trainer addresses multiple training requirements...

  • Hazardous substance/material handler training to meet Cal/OSHA HazCom Standard [8 CCR § 5194] and CUPA requirements [19 CCR §2732].
  • Hazardous waste handler mandatory training as required by the hazardous waste regulations [22 CCR §§ 66262.34 & 66265.16, and CUPA rules.
  • DOT requirements for hazardous materials and waste shipments, and implementation of mandatory new employee & triennial refresher familiarization, functional, and security training. [49 CFR § 172.702].
  • Emergency response planning and initial & annual training as required by Cal/OSHA HAZWOPER Standard [8 CCR §5192(q) and CUPA regulation [19 CCR § 2732] . Annual refresher training is mandatory!
  • Oil spill prevention training requirement by the federal SPCC regulation [40 CFR § 112.7] and California Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act, which authorizes CUPA enforcement.

These regulations (except DOT) require mandatory annual refresher training. The webinar equips the participant to be a HazMat Trainer - a valuable commodity in this economy and as business improves.

Special Train-The-Trainer Features Include:

  • Information in an integrated and simplified manner, which includes training procedures, sample presentation approaches and formats, and training documentation
  • Every webinar registrant will receive a CD version of the class material that provides editable electronic forms and formats for documentation of training.
  • Example materials and formats to efficiently present HazMat information, including BMPs, Codes of Safe Practice, and SOPs.
  • Efficient integration of Proposition 65 requirement warnings into HazCom training
  • Emergency response planning and training materials to simplify emergency response information and employee comprehension.
